It also occurs as advanced to me as a newbie – what are suggested resources for a newbie getting started – such as:
– Who are the virtual assistants you suggest?
– How much money do you need to start a telesummit?
– How do you get a sales page/web page set up – what company is best to go to for this and the cost?
There are a lot more questions – but really needing help with the practical basics of getting started – I’d appreciate anything you have to share – thanks!
I don’t have a specific virtual assistant to suggest. I’ve had some really good experiences posting jobs on elance.com. I pay the extra $25 to feature my ad.
As for the money, my main costs have been my web guy and graphic designer. I think we paid about $600 for the TNC graphics, and I’ve been paying about $500 per month for all the website updates.
You can make your own website for free at wordpress.com. However, I think the best way to do it is to hire someone to create the pages for you. Again, you might be able to find someone on elance.com and you can state how much you’re willing to pay for the project and have contractors bid on the job.
My first summit was done for under $1000, with me and 1 webguy. I have used a lot of web people. Elance has been great – I would send pictures or links of other projects to get an estimate, but now I have a full time person.
For VA – I don’t use a VA company. I met my gal through a referral. Keep asking around – there are a lot out there.
My best advice is to ‘watch’ what summits move you. How do they communicate with you. How do they post information — even how do they say things.
