First, <strong>decide that your money is important to you<\/strong> and worth spending time with. If you\u2019re in a relationship with someone and you tell them \u201cyou\u2019re just not that important to me,\u201d how long do you think they\u2019re going to stick around?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Do you keep your cash organized in your wallet or crumpled up in wads around the house with piles of loose change? I encourage you to <strong>treat your money with respect<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">When money is important to you, you are willing to spend quality time with it, just like with someone you\u2019re dating. Schedule a regular time to give your money your full attention.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gp.realprosperityinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/MoneyDate.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5436\" src=\"http:\/\/gp.realprosperityinc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/MoneyDate.jpg\" alt=\"MoneyDate\" width=\"322\" height=\"294\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">During your <strong>&#8220;Money Date,&#8221;<\/strong> you can find out how your money is doing by reviewing your financial statements, balancing your checkbook, or reconciling your accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">In the past, when I didn\u2019t have a regular \u201cMoney Date,\u201d I handled my finances randomly. I would balance my checkbook and pay bills when I got around to it, which meant that sometimes I was organized and sometimes my finances were in total chaos. I wasted hundreds of dollars in fees that could have been avoided if I was monitoring my finances more closely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 15px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">Now that I have regular and consistent \u201cMoney Dates,\u201d I have clarity around my finances, and I make better decisions.
