Prosperity Adventure: Mexico Cruise on the Carnival Splendor
Here’s our group boarding the cruise ship, the Carnival Splendor.
I first cruised to Mexico when I was 15 years old (before I learned Spanish), and was very curious what it would be like to return 20 years later.
It was great! I really appreciated being away from phones and internet for a week as well as getting to see Mexico again as a seasoned traveler. My Spanish was a little slow at first but by the last day in Puerto Vallarta, I was chatting up a storm with our taxi driver and it was tough to switch back to English on the ship.
Here are some pictures of the ship:
Here are some of the highlights from the trip:
Each night when we came back from dinner, we had a different towel animal.
So what do you think? Is cruising for you? Please post a comment and let me know about your cruise experiences or thoughts. Thanks!
Great pictures, PJ! And I REALLY appreciate all your promoting of me! I’ve been on many cruises on all of the most popular cruise lines and love helping people plan a great vacation. Thanks!!! Margaret

These are sharp, clear, beautiful pictures of your cruise. Love the burrow and you together. Looks like love LOL. My husband and I have been talking about taking a cruise. Interestingly, you posted these pictures on my birthday. Hmmmm… I think this is a sign from The Lord that the cruise is happening soon. Thanks, P.J. You are one in a million. And, oh, cute boyfriend!!!
Thanks, Renee, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
If you’ve been talking about taking a cruise, I say go for it! We got a great deal with Margaret Owen (owentravel.com)

I’m turning 54 today & have never been on a cruise. My hubby & I have been talking about taking one to Alaska for years. We are getting closer to actually doing that I think. LOL. I am now also thinking I’d like to take one with my sister or a girlfriend to a warmer destination also within the next couple years.
Time to start working on setting the actual dates, so your beautiful photos- which look like you had a fun time- are an inspiration to me. Thanks for posting them online for us all to see!
Hi Beth! Happy Birthday!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
I did the first Abraham-Hicks cruise to Alaska in 2004 on Holland America and it was fantastic! I highly recommend putting a plan in action to make it happen. You will love it!
I recommend connecting with Margaret Owen (owentravel.com) because she’s got the inside scoop on the hottest cruise deals.
Have fun! : D

I have never been on a cruise, but I think I am getting closer and closer to going on one, especially after seeing your pictures. Thanks for sharing! That picture of you hugging the burro(?) just made me smile!
