PJ, how is Sarah creating images on her PC and then uploading to Instagram?
Thanks! 🙂
Hey, PJ, Sarah answered this question for me above, so I’m all set. 🙂
“There are a few ways to do it.
I usually put them in a folder on dropbox or google drive on my computer and then download on my phone. You can also email them to yourself.”
Not seeing the link to the download Sarah was offering, could you list it again, pls? Thanks!
Here you go! 😀

Yay! I’m even more excited about using Instagram now. Thank you, Sarah! 😀
You are all very welcome! I’m so glad you all enjoyed it and learned something. Yay!
I am currently not on Instagram and this call has given me much to think about. Thanks Sarah & PJ
Thanks Sarah, this was great.
Awesome call! I feel more informed/confident after this Sarah & PJ; Thank you! My “Ah-Ha” was “spend some time creating unique imagery and content–even photos w/ text on them–not the same ol’ pics cycling on FB that everyone’s seen”.

That’s true about Pinterest – there is No conversation on there. In fact my account was shut down once because I made the mistake of commenting to say thanks to the people who had re-pinned my pins. After I got my account back up I didn’t comment again. It’s like it’s frowned upon there.
Question – how is instagram different from pinterest?
Looking forward to tonights call … I use Instagram personally on @mazzaarty https://instagram.com/mazzaarty/ … interesting ideas so far … not sure how to make it markety? or maybe begin again? but interested to find out
please explain more about the use of #s
I use #YUMMY a lot!
QQQ – Can you have a business instagram account and a personal one? For example, Facebook only allows one account and then a business page, is it the same with Instagram?
You can have at least 6 accounts that I know of–but why would you…too much work, I think.

Thanks, PJ, I forgot to share that!! 🙂

I don’t like to connect the FB because it seems like it takes away from the specialness of my posts on IG–but I do connect to Twitter–and that has increased my Twitter followers effortlessly.
How cool!
Thanks!
I agree…I’m using the same strategy via FB —> TW.
I’l think about using it via INSTA —> TW!
Thanks Carol!
You’re welcome!
Carol, very cool about your Twitter followers benefitting from Instagram as well! That visual content is powerful at grabbing attention on every platform (Tweets with images are 150% more likely to be re-tweeted).
I do think it’s good to keep some “special” content just for Instagram to give people a reason to visit you there. This can help get people who are following you on your other social accounts to come check you out on Instagram (where they will actually see your posts lol). I don’t share every IG post to FB.
I use Over on my phone to write on photos, super easy to use and Percect365 to touch up and add makeup to my portraits/selfies.
Over is a great one, I use that on my ipad. I also like Afterlight for touchups.
I’m sad, I stream doesn’t work on mobiles. :-/
I haven’t used Canva much at all. I use Picmonkey almost every day. But I haven’t used either of these for Instagram.
I’m going to check out Canva now to learn more about it.
Enjoy Canva, it’s really fun and you can create great looking things.
Do you Picmonkey too Deborah?
If you do, what do you like better about Canva compared to Picmonkey?
I find Canva a little easier to use than Picmonkey (they have an amazing choice of templates and backgrounds for free, and they also have stock photos that you can buy for $1 each which is very reasonable). Picmonkey has more font options (I think you can upload any font to Picmonkey) and I think it has some more advanced tools.
As Heather mentioned, Over is great as well and very easy to use.
Here are the resources Sarah mentioned for graphics:
Canva
https://www.canva.com/
Pic Monkey
https://www.picmonkey.com/
Also http://quozio.com/ and http://pinstamatic.com/#quote for graphics
I haven’t tried Quozio, will check that out! Pinstamatic is another nice one.
Could you post the tiny url again? I am missing where it is on the list here.

I think the videos can be 17 seconds, yes? That’s what I’ve been doing.
Ah that’s funny! Re: 15 seconds. I don’t think mine have been cut off, but it’s all good. 🙂
Okay I am now officially signed up with Instagram. Warning there will probably be even more pictures of my food prep and nature walks:)
PS: Thank you for this topic I have been wondering about it for a while.
Looking forward to it! 😀
Yay!! 🙂
Thank you Sarah; I think my biggest challenge is taking photos in the moment and having time before the food gets cold and goes out…lol! 🙂
Signing up for Canva now!
Enjoy it, it’s really fun and you can create great looking things.
I hope you love it as much as I do! 🙂

Hi, everyone. I don’t yet use Instagram, though I’m excited to find out more and open to using it if I see it can contribute to my marketing.
QQQ How is Instagram different than Pinterest? What advantages are there to Instagram over Pinterest?
I haven’t used Instagram yet. I need to learn more, so that’s why this session caught my eye.
I do WordPress website design and help my clients use Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn right now and want to know more about Instagram and how I can use that to help my clients.
Looking forward to learning more and connecting.

I’m working with my girls setting up their businesses. They are both on Instagram with a couple of thousand followers on thier personal pages. So we are ready to set up their business pages, and build up a targeted list. We love instagram as its how we advertise our new YouTube videos.
QQQ: Great that you’re having such amazing results with Instagram. And it seems like Instagram folks are by definition interested in what you offer. What kind of results are people getting whose businesses aren’t so directly related to what Instagram does? What about businesses that don’t really have a lot of easy visual content? (I haven’t used Instagram at all and am trying to figure out if it’s worth it for me.)
It’s great to hear today’s broadcast! Thank you Sarah and PJ!!! Songs That Give is on Instagram providing PR advice and assistance, not selling any music at this time, (coming soon)! Let’s connect and learn.
Hello Sarah,
I got so excited when I saw your name as a guest speaker. I’m so looking forward to what you’ll be sharing. You know I rarely us Instagram as we’ve discussed before and am so excited about using what you share to change that.

Wow, that’s inspiring, that Instagram has such higher engagement than Facebook and Twitter! I DO feel discouraged with Facebook and I have more fun on Insta.
I love instagram but haven’t really gotten a lot of results with it.

Would love to connect there!
I think Instagram is really interesting, and I’m excited to learn how to leverage it for business! 😀
PJ, did you say that you’re not on Insta yet? But you’re creating an account now?
I started an account, but I haven’t done much with it yet:

Hopefully, I’ll get it spruced up in time for our Power Hour tomorrow! 😀
I’m looking forward to this call! I am on Instagram http://instagram.com/JoLynnBraley and I regularly post pics and videos. I include a link to one of my sites on every post I do.
I post videos of clean eating dishes I make, even though that’s not what I teach my coaching clients. I mentor smart successful women who are doing great professionally but have never achieved lasting success with their weight. No matter how many clean eating recipes they collect or diets they do, their emotional eating never goes away. In The Inner Self Diet we go to the root of their ongoing food and weight struggles to heal that and get the heck on living their ideal life, while IN their ideal body.
Hi everyone, I’m a coach and product mentor and I have an online store – Coachingtoysstore.com. I’m also an artist and very visual so I’d think instagram could be fun however I have never used it and not a clue how to use for business.
Marcy
I have been on Instagram for about a year and have 553 followers because I have 185 posts and no problem posting since it’s visual and I’m a visual artist. That said, I just got my first subscriber off IG, and no sales yet. I like it for various reasons, but I’m a bit disappointed in the results to date.
CarolSteinberg is how you can find me there.
Carol I hope you got some good tips to try out to move people from Instagram to your website to sign up for your email list. Be sure you are telling people (in your bio and posts) what they will get if they click on that bio link and sign up – tell them about your great free offer, and how it will benefit them.
Hi Everyone,
Looking to learn about Instagram
HiYa Deb!
Excited to be here and looking to get my FB page likes to 500 this week.

I’m naïve to Instagram and use it!
PJ thanks for bringing us all this valued information.

I don’t know where line #1 came from talking about moderation. LOL
I was late to Instagram and my regular user name was already taken 🙁 [lesson learned] – that said, I still have never used the platform and am eager to get today’s info and start using it…
I started my own 90-day-challenge at the same time this one started as I decided to create new habits to go along with this list building challenge. Those included daily videos, writing, and editing! And now I have added doing SlideShare presentations once a week, and do videos less often…
now I’ll have to add in some Instagram postings 🙂
What I do is help people plan for what they want to do “when they are grown up.” I started by targeting those over 65, but have found that younger people also have interest….
Why? Because although many of us keep, start, or change into new careers after 65 [and even after 75, or 80,] others want to start thinking and planning ahead when they are younger…ore even make those decisions now.
As I myself have changed careers and directions more than once, I am here to offer guidance….

Hi Everyone!
I’ve heard of Instagram but have never used or even seen it. I’m looking forward to leraning something new today! 🙂

I’m so excited to be talking about Instagram with PJ today! I’d love to hear more about how you are using Instagram for your business already, and any questions or challenges you have that I can help with on the call today.
As I’ll share with you, I was a bit skeptical of Instagram as a way to get quality leads and traffic, but I’ve learned to love it, and it’s the social media platform that performs best for me (by far) for list building. 🙂
Talk to you all soon,
Sarah
I am really looking forward to this, Sarah.. I am the truly empty cup on this content
Hello Sarah,
Thanks for coming out to show us the ropes. Unfortunately I am experiencing audio issues (likely my crazy set-up her PJ, not yours) so I will check back later to see what I missed. Have a GREAT hour Ladies!
Enjoy all, see you here tomorrow 🙂
Thank you for bringing your advice to us today Sarah! I’m looking forward to diving deeper!
Hello Tony! How wonderful to see you here again!
HI Sarah,
Thanks for the great value you’re providing today. I liked what you said about linking your FB page to Instagram. How do you do that if you have already signed up with an email address? Thanks!! 🙂
You guys are all very welcome! I really enjoyed the call today.
In case you didn’t catch my answer to this, as long as the email address that you used to set up your Instagram account is listed as an admin on your Facebook Fan page, you can connect them. Just go to your profile settings and click through Linked Accounts and then Facebook and you can choose between your personal profile and all the fan pages you manage.
You can even change this setting if you have some Instagram posts you want to share to your personal profile and others you want to share with your fan page, you just need to disconnect one and connect the other before sharing.
Hi Everyone! Super pumped to be on the call today w/ Sarah Davidson
and learn how to build my list using the finer points of “Instagram”!!!
This will be new territory for me as I haven’t quite mastered getting photos
