Happy Tremendous Thursday PJ and my fellow tribemates,
I’m checking in from hot (102 degrees) California but since I don’t go outside much because my morning and afternoon commute to my office is only a few feet (seven steps to be exact) away so the heat doesn’t bother me.
PJ just a quick back story. You first made it onto my radar via an eMail I received from Milana Leshinsky on 03/01/13 with the subject line …
3 Secrets To a Bigger List
… She was telling me about the List Building Summit hosted by Vrinda Normand of which you were a guest speaker.
LOL, yes my personality type is very analytical (ISTJ) which means when I need to make a decision I turn over every rock possible and then 3 more for good measure. And yes, I also archive all of my eMails for future research (AKA rock turning).
I loved hearing you share that over at eWomen Network I’d be referred to as an “eMale” which is a term that I can really get behind for sure.
I’ve been networking with women’s groups ever since I came online back in 1996 and I love it. At times a few of the ladies have referred to me as “just one of the girls” LOL and I always take it as a compliment.
PJ, many of the things you covered today totally resonate with me and I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your “style” of presentation … “It’s got a good beat and it’s easy to dance to.” (think Dick Clark and American Bandstand for those of us old enough to have watched it live) .
It obviously to tell that you know what you’re talking about and when it comes to social networking, I’m so IN, as it’s a passion of mine and when it comes to verbal networking online, that’s when I’m most passionate.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to introduce myself and share what I do (as per your invitation to do so at the top of your call today) to you and my tribemates (I’m a huge Seth Godin mentee, AKA frienducator)
I’m looking forward to being frienducated more and more by you, PJ and your guest speakers as well as my tribemates here.
Since I’m totally into meeting and greeting with people for possible divine connections I’d like to make myself available and approachable for anyone here to call me for a 15 minute meet and greet to see what we may have in common and just how we can help each other with what we have in common.
If nothing else, just making a new friend is valuable in and of itself for me.
Feel free to call me any time (and I mean any time like evenings and weekends as well) 760-378-2539 or Skype me: (RoyMontero).
I love connecting people so even if we don’t necessarily hit it off, so to speak, I’d love to connect you with the other people who have engaged in meet and greets with me. That way there’s much more of an opportunity of a “divine connection” being made.
Lastly I’d like to add that I love speaking in sound bites. In other words I love sharing one-liners and quotes with people to help myself and them with our “daily personal growth plans” (you do have one right, wink wink).
So to further introduce myself to you all I have a 3 minute video on YouTube where I asked Susan Harrow a question during one of her Webinars a few months ago and her feedback for me was just ahh-mazing!

Great, George! 😀
Is anyone else super impressed with how easily PJ can teach the content LIVE and read our messages AND REPLY to them so seamlessly?
Thanks for all of the networking gold PJ and for the reminder to start where we are now and to upgrade/leverage up as soon as we notice that we need better results from our networking rather than just give up on networking itself.
My favorite tip from today’s training was:
“Schedule your follow up time before the event even happens.” Golden.
Thanks again!
Twaaa… thanks, Kimeiko! You’re speaking my love language! 😀
Hey PJ,
Nice job on the call today. I’m a total believer in the power of networking!
I love that you make networking a module in your program. I have learned over the last 30 years as a salesperson, business owner and trainer/coach that many people are extremely intimidated by the thought of face-to-face networking. It’s a real problem… and many people are scared away by the thought that they are going to be seen as a “salesperson” at events.
Full disclosure… business networking is the core of my training/coaching program. I believe that there is so much more to networking than selling… I believe it so much that I created a whole training program around it called “Network with Ease”.
If anyone is interested in another take on what you really do when you network feel free to check out my blog post http://pitchforsuccess.com/networking-is-not-selling/.
While you’re there you can watch any number of 30 Second Networking Tips videos… I have over 60 of them now so hopefully you can pick up some pointers that help you get even more out of the kit from PJ.
Eric
If you think it would be helpful for anyone in your community PJ, I’d be thrilled to chat with you about how my program could mesh with yours… I take what you teach in your networking module and expand it even more… to help people get even more comfortable following your great list building system.
Thanks, Eric! 😀
PJ it sounds to me like you’re also an empath, or HSP.
I’m frequently surprised at how tired I can be the day after a networking event.
Last month I got excited about a new opportunity and ended up going to two high-powered events in a row. I came home so tired after the second one that I crawled into bed and slept for two hours, AND was exhausted the following day as well.
That was a great reminder that an important part of my process is to make sure I schedule in some “recharge time”. For me, the best way I can recharge is to take a “jewelry break” and make one or two fabulous necklaces. I get so relaxed, in my zone, that I feel extremely recharged….also probably helps that I then take what I’ve created and display it prominently so I get the pleasure of seeing it for a day or two.
My Tip for all the Empaths, HSPs, hermits, INFPs is to be sure to schedule that recharge time.
That’s probably true!
I love being around people for a while and then I NEED to go be back in my cave a while to recharge. 🙂
One of the cool things about jewelry is that you probably do get some people that want to buy your stuff right away.
Yes, sometimes people do see and Feel the energy of what I’ve created and know that it’s meant to be theirs as part of their energetic journey…other times they go away and can’t stop thinking about it…or they come back later and discover that it’s obvious that my latest design was made for them. :>)
Thank you PJ for a really great presentation. I have been networking for a while but not as effectively as I coulld. You presented actionable steps in a straightforward, easy to follow manner. I am an artist- painter- not happy doing mailings at this time so expanding my circle thru networking could be really vital.
I have followed your list a palooka for 2 years, even bought it and share about it to friends & my mentors hip group. Brava!
Best,
Karen
Yay! Thanks, Karen! 😀

Thanks, Tania! 😀
One of the nuggets for me was the powerful visual of hunting versus harvesting and making it the desired outcome to find business collaborations vs clients. That is so true: you can feel a ‘hunter’ clear across the room!
That’s great, Sasha! 😀
Thank you PJ, Once again you are incredible by providing a wealth of blessings/products.
I really enjoyed your different follow up strategies and well organized processing system, great job.
Thanks, Elizabeth! 😀
Thank you PJ – I really appreciate all you shared today.
Thanks, Julie! 😀
I appreciated your Follow-up System. I often wonder what to do with the cards I get at networking events afterward. 🙂
Yay! Now you have a plan! 😀
Thank you PJ! Feeling more organized and ready to network already! 🙂
