  • Karen Wyatt says:

PJ: Thank you so much for all 3 of your List-a-Palooza’s! I have purchased all 3 Success Kits and I have listened to many of the interviews multiple times. I keep them on my phone so I can listen while I’m driving or waiting in line somewhere. I have found that the information in the calls is valuable to me in multiple ways and I keep referring back to speakers who have insights I need at different times. I can’t even begin to tell you how much you have helped me! Thank you!!!

Sending you much love and light for all that life holds for you in the future! May you be blessed 10-fold for all the blessings you have given so generously to others.

  • Thank you for your modeling and inspiration as well as the content. It was great to feel your presence, your way of being throughout. You’re a class act PJ. I hope our paths cross in person.

  • Casey says:

I think my biggest take away from the event was to just keep moving forward and improving. Progress, not perfection. That helped a great deal.

Thanks for everything PJ!! You are amazing. Keep up the good work.

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

      Yay, Casey! πŸ˜€

  • Coach Adam says:

There were so many “ah ha” moments for me in List-A-Palooza that it’s hard to just list a few. I’m just starting out with my Livelihood Coaching practice and building my list so this was all pretty new to me. The things that stick out most at this point are:

    1) Adding a video to your opt-in page. This lets people see and hear me so they begin with a higher comfort level with what I’m offering.

    2) Put my opt-in offer on my main website but have a separate opt-in page to funnel traffic from my lead sources. This gives viewers only one thing to do and will result in higher opt-ins.

    3) Offering a product for sale for a small price (under $30) on my opt-in confirmation page to begin making money immediately.

    4) Use an integrated marketing system like 1ShopppingCart to combine opt-ins, affiliate tracking and shopping cart into one system.

There’s so much more that I’m going to set aside time each week to listen to the audios again for ongoing training as well as joing the List-Building Rockstars program.

Thanks for putting List-A-Palooza together, PJ. I wouldn’t be nearly as far along with getting my business going without your efforts.

    Live Your Passion!

    Coach Adam

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

      Awesome! Thanks, Adam! πŸ˜€

  • Casey says:

could u post the links for the blog posts for each speaker here? thanks.

  • niki says:

Well, you certainly live up to expectations, PJ! That closing had all the hallmarks of List-a-Palooza: full of energy and ideas and inspiration for the future.

Biggest takeaway: Find your own unique path to list building success. Don’t try to do every marketing strategy or you’ll feel overwhelmed and guilty. Just focus on 2 or 3 techniques that suit your talents and goals.

Thank you so much, PJ, for an exquisite summer of sharing, support and growth. I wish you the greatest joy and happiness as you follow a new path into your future.

    Warmly,

    Niki

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

Thank you so much, Niki! It’s been great getting to know you! πŸ˜€

  • Coach Stacy says:

Thanks PJ, what a finale! You have been so present & supportive through this whole process, why am I not surprised that you were able to pull off List-a-Palooza in mere weeks! – you are so capable πŸ™‚

Thanks for answering my question yesterday. I think the other power in using the “tiny URLs” is that it kept re-enforcing “lbc14” – helping to remind us of what we were a part of.

I am so glad I kept my promised to myself from last year and checked out your event, it really was incredible!

    Many, many thanks!

And to my fellow List-a-Paloozers – all the best!, I will be in touch with a few of you via e-mail in the months to come.

    Blessings!

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

      Thanks, Stacy! πŸ˜€

    QQQ

Can you share the difference in numbers for list-a-palooza from past years for comparison? Also what things did you stop doing this year?

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

      Total Participants:

      2012: 5321
      2013: 7005
      2014: 4440

What I stopped doing this year:

      1. Send promo packets to speakers or affiliates

Sending swipe copy and an affiliate link in a plain text e-mail has always been the most effective. Last year, I also sent custom packets (Word Docs) to each speaker and to my top affiliates with articles and images that I couldn’t attach to e-mails going out of Infusionsoft. This year, I just included links to the images and articles in the plain text e-mails.

      2. Twitter

Last year, I put together a .csv file of tweets set to go out every 2 hours on Twitter and automated through Hootsuite. This year, I didn’t bother taking the time to update that file. I did send out a few tweets sporadically when I felt like it and participated in the Twitter Power Hours. I also announced the training calls on Twitter when I had the time and was already in that mode (I had a promo checklist that I went through the morning of each call and Twitter was the last thing on it).

      3. Paid Advertising on Other People’s Blogs

      4. Retargeting Campaigns (this is where my ads would follow people when they visited other sites. It was amusing but didn’t bring in amazing results for the money and time).

      5. Hiring someone to run Facebook ads for me

      6. Creating fancy graphics to promote each call on social media, including the talk title & speaker name

I did create simple graphics with just the List-a-Palooza logo and the speaker’s headshot. That was WAY easier

      7. Encourage speakers to post a lot on Facebook or Twitter

      • Deb Brown says:

Thanks! It’s nice to know what NOT to do as well as what TO do!

I am just starting out with my website and on-line presence. I haven’t been able to be participating in all the events but I have listened to all the speakers and have learned so much. I am healing from breast cancer and looking at doing a launch soon for a book and courses to spread the word about natural healing. So appreciate all the info. You are amazing!!!!!! Thanks, Karen

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

      Thanks, Karen! πŸ˜€

  • The big takeaways for me–stuff that would be obvious to any one else–but a) there is no point in having a list if you don’t stay in touch with it and b) you cannot complain about not monetizing your list if you aren’t making offers to them! Again, this would seem obvious, but if you’ve been stewing in it for a long time, for some reason isn’t or wasn’t to me at any rate. I loved hearing these answers to the mysteries that have been plaguing my biz. The group was generous and fun…the activities we participated in were interesting and gave good structure.

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

Brilliant insight, Carol! It’s not as obvious as you’d think. πŸ˜€

  • Deb Brown says:

    PJ,
Thank you so much for hosting this. I can’t believe the summer is over and List-a-Palooza is too! I have learned so much and grown my list. I really appreciate your effort and all the guest experts sharing their knowledge.

If you don’t address the pain your potential clients are going through in your promotional messages, you’re doing them a disservice. You can address their pain without adding to their
suffering by simply describing it. For example, ask “Does this sound familiar?’ and list some
bullet points. Here’s a great example:

  • Emily Levy says:

Congratulations, PJ, on an amazing event. It was an honor to speak on List-a-Palooza this year on “How to Overcome Technology Overwhelm So You Will Stop Procrastinating and Get Results.”

During my interview I offered a special price on my FAB Lab Membership program, “your lifeline for all things techie.” Since then the price of the program has gone up. However, to celebrate the grand finale of List-A-Palooza, I just this minute decided to reinstate the special price for today only. This is to honor PJ and all of you who have the commitment to make it through this 90-day event.

More information about the program is at http://fabweblaunch.com/fab-lab-membership
Today only, you can get the special price here: http://secure.fabweblaunch.com/fab-lab-membership-special/

      Thanks, Emily! πŸ˜€

Your FAB Lab rocks! Anyone that’s doing business online in any capacity should jump in!

      • Emily Levy says:

Thanks you, PJ. Great call today. I loved the part about “if you’re in this stage of your business, focus on these call recordings.” Really helpful. Congratulations and go celebrate!

  • Barry Selby says:

Congratulations on another List-a-Palooza marathon! You are amazing, and I applaud all you have manifested.

I’ve been through quite a journey the past few weeks (dark night of the soul is one way of labeling it), so haven’t been in full flow with all the teachers and experts on this incredible series. I caught some of the calls which rocked, and plan to pick up the recordings to catch the ones I missed.

I have given up fighting for limitations in my business, and also dropped second guessing my clients or my own message, so I am clear on what I do and I know my clients are already seeking me for help right now!

Speaking of which, my clear ideal client is a female executive in her 40s, successful and currently single. She may have been divorced or never married, and she is ready now to attract a true partnership that honors who she is and where she is in her life. She knows the value of mentoring and is seeking me to be her guide, friend and expert to help her get where she wants to go. And I am so grateful to her for trusting me, and I am so honored to serve her. You know her, so help her find me here – http://TheLoveConfidant.com

    Hi Everyone!

Coach Adam from Los Angeles. I love helping people bring out their passion and develop it into their Livelihood.Β Β Before I discovered my passion I worked jobs I didn’t like, that sucked the life out of me just to make money.Β Β I hate to see anyone do that so I created a program to help people identify their passion and discover how to make their living doing what they Love.

I’m so glad I found about List-A-Palooza and will definitely be here next year.

Niki — I came back to say goodbye, and you had written on my comment! I visited your website late last night and want to return to hear some of the videos. You and your family are very lucky to work together like that in such an important way.

Definitely hope we do stay in touch. I feel like it’s graduation day, and I’m afraid we will all scatter to the four winds. This has been a very deep summer for me in turning my future around on its ear. Now I have to go back to writing and finish what I’m doing that will allow me to start really helping people.

Super! Yes, let’s connect. My website is http://www.greenlightcoaching.com and my FB biz page is http://www.facebook.com/drmelissabrown. I am retired from clinical pediatrics–burned out earlier than retirement age. I became certified as a life coach and I now combine my medical training and experience/health knowledge, and my life coach training to help other women–mom-preneurs, in particular, who are suffering from overwhelm. Stress and overwhelm shows up in lots of different ways–how well I know that!! LOL!
